Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Cautiously optimistic

Okay, so called potential guy. I was feeling a bit bummed about things at work, and with this worsening cold (my ears feel stuffy now). We talked for about a half hour, and I got the line again "Wow, I was thinking of calling you in a little bit". So I told him "Okay then, the next time I think of calling you, I'm just going to wait until you call." After this last conversation, I'm cautiously optimistic.

*bleh* Okay, have to go to bed and rest. This cold is horrible on my nose, that I'm now having nosebleeds. Unfortunately, once it gets started, it sometimes won't stop for hours. Funny thing was that they were a lot worse when I was growing up in Chicago. So I'm off to bed to try and get this under control....

Call it a weakness

Besides my weakness for chocolate, I'd have to say that men can throw me for a loop. I guess I am a bit naive about the subtlities of modern relationships. I had just hoped things would come as easy as they did for my folks.

I know that I appear very independant, but I get tired of having to call guys constantly. It's the same thing with my some of my guy friends, so I suppose I shouldn't be too upset over that. I just feel weird about having to call the guy, even if he sounds happy that I call. I suppose I'm a bit old fashioned about that.

Her idea of wet food are those "pouches" that have bits of food and sauce in them. I suppose it's my fault for introducing her to them, but now she raises holy heck if there're not served when I get home.

Due to my laziness, I offered her a different brand that she isn't a big fan of. But I had hoped that in desperation she'd try anyway. Silly human!

So I was a good human and bought a bunch of her favorite flavors on my way to work this AM. I even brought them inside so they don't cook in the 120 degree temperature I'm sure my car will get to today.

(I began the Tzarina nickname because it sounded more appropiate than "Princess"....)
