just don't lick my skin
Yes, a celiac can have oatmeal. But it has to be certified gluten free oats, and a pound costs $13 at Wild Oats. And it's the old fashioned oats that take a long time to cook. But they make killer crisp toppings.
I have allergy hell issues. The allergy shots helped a lot. But it did little to stop the terrible skin itching I get the summer months. I don't have a rash that's visible. But it's something I can't stop scratching.
Taking dye-free Benadryl helps. But I don't want to live off that stuff.
I've bought every kind of lotion on the market. There's only one that helps. Only one.
Eucerin Calming Cream.
Why is this so distressing? Besides the $13/bottle cost, it contains oatmeal. And I doubt they're certified gluten free oats. (But for the cost, it might be.)
So I still use the Calming Cream to get me through the summer. I guess I just won't lick the lotion off my skin.
