Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Saturday thoughts

It seems that Tucson got the short end of the stick with this storm. There's some puddles, but not the 1" of rain that the Phoenix area got. According to the weather station at the University, we got 0.04" (so far). I'm sure that the weather put a damper on the civil war re-enactment.

It is very cold though. It was in the mid 50's only. Considering last weekend, the fur beasts were soaking up the sun on the patio, it's a 20 degree difference.

Since Thursday night I slept in a different bed, and I was so dead tired I don't know if I had been sleep walking. But somehow I ended up with a "crack on the head" in the middle of my forehead *owie* Then of course I made it worse by sneezing in front of the glass shield of the BL-2 hood.

Speaking of work, the card reader by the elevator you're supposed to use was dead this morning. There's other ways into the building even though they lock the doors to the second floor elevator access. So I shuffled across to the other end of the building and used the service elevator. I called facilites, and was forwarded to the security office. They were asking me to call the campus police. I was like "why, I'm in the building now - I'm calling facilities to fix the card reader." When I left later that day, it was still dead.
