Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

No big surprise today when I found out that my head isn't screwed on straight! What it really means is that the atlas (first cervical vertebrae) is not properly aligned with the base of the skull and the axis (second cervical vertebrae). I knew that my upper cervical vertebrae were completely straight (instead of the normal 15 degree curve), but the atlas itself is misaligned. I knew that the cranial nerves come from the head and in between the atlas and axis to the spinal cord.

This validates my argument that there's a constant force causing pain. I have been wanting for some time to address this issue and know if I was right (or crazy). I hesitated about having to pay for it out of pocket. When I finally saw a name on the provider directory of a doctor on the accepted list of atlas othogonal doctors, I made an appointment (worst would be that he wouldn't treat me).

Here's a nice page about what atlas orthogonal is about. Monday I'll get my first treatment with follow-up x-rays afterwards (plus find out how bad it really is). I'd be happy if I got some more pain control after a few treatments. I think that my work will involve maintance visits after everything's back to normal.

Have a great weekend!
