Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

great Americans

I found this Top 100 Americans list in net surfing today.

Pretty much all the names I've heard of (no surprise). Not too surprised that Sam Walton's name is on it - but it's still up for debate if it was a good thing he created. I was disappointed that Grant was ranked slightly higher than Teddy Roosevelt. I would have reversed them. It was nice to see Margaret Sanger on the list (thanks for the sexual revolution).

Bill Gates is on, but not Steve Jobs. If only Jobs was more of a public humanitarian. I'd rather see Jobs than Gates anyway.

Surprised that Spielburg or Lukas didn't make the list when several authors did. Guess these editors don't watch movies.

Einstein, Watson (not Crick), and Oppenheimer were on it, but not Goddard.

I'm also surprised that Neil Armstrong isn't on the list.

Nixon's on it. But this is because it's influential Americans (for good or bad). It would have also been good to see JFK on the list since his handling of the Cuban missile crisis saved us from the brink, and his early steps led to Vietnam (not to mention the impact of his death).

Opinions?
