Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Apologies

Sorry, I've had my 12 year old cousin with me since Friday. While we had a great time playing and visiting places around southeast Arizona, I didn't have any free time to myself. That is unless you count the morning when I would wake up before her, and get my shower in. This AM, I met with my folks, and they're taking her back to Phoenix.

I've also had time to think about things at work, and the possible outcomes. Today, I realized how gullible I can be about how I truly believe someone the same time the little voice inside my head is saying "but...." Good news is that I won't have to be desperate for a job (if I'm willing to move out of state).

Just a random thought for the day: I'm not a big fan of cell phone ring tones. Most of the time I can't even identify the song that is ringing. But a student in my lab has left her phone in the main lab while she sets up her experiment. Her ringtone is "Take my breath away". Hearing it as a ringtone is just WRONG!

I have a lot of things to finish before the holiday weekend. I'm going camping (this time for real), so I must get food supplies, do laundry, and prepare food as much as possible for easy cooking. Due to the extreme fire danger, it's not possible at some sites to even have a BBQ. Where I'm going, I think the restrictions are not as bad, but I can always make my own small stove. While it's cool, I somehow don't see that happening (for starters, I can't drink Heinekin!)
