Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Who would have thunk it?

When I was leaving work yesterday, I was making a mental note to myself. Don't forget to get vanilla ice cream, cat litter, and dishwashing soap. I figured that Target would be the best place to get these things.

So I walk into Target, and the only thing I can remember is the dishwashing soap. So I stand in front of the dishwashing soap, trying to determine the best deal, while hoping the light bulb will go on and tell me what else I needed. But it wasn't coming to me. So I grabbed a box of a brand of dishwashing soap for $5.59.

Annoyed because I knew I'd be back tomorrow because as soon as I got home, I'd remember what else I needed. And the lines to check out were unusually long. So I left the soap behind, and headed out to my car.

I got to the next stoplight and I remembered. Well, there's the Fry's grocery store on the way home. Hopefully it won't be overpriced compared to Target.

Find the same box of dishwashing soap. It's on sale for $2.99!! I can hardly believe it. Plus, the Dreyer's (Breyer's/Edy's) brand ice cream is on sale for $1.99. I decide to skip on the cat litter and get it for another day because I didn't have a cart.

So for the less than the dishwashing soap, I got a half gallon of ice cream. Perhaps my light bulb was smarter than I give it credit and saved me money. I was more shocked that Target charged so much more for the exact same item.
