Did someone get smart?
My boss just called me.
Our lab building has NO power. What concerns me is that the emergency generators aren't online. He said there's no lights, and no power to the lab equipment such as the -80 and the incubators. Apparently has been that way for about an hour.
A smart attack would involve someone knocking out the power sources after 5:00PM on a Friday night. Why - well there'll be nobody who gives a s**t to do something about it. I've been listening to the police scanner and apparently there's no belief that it's a planned attack against the building.
Oh by the way, if I have to go back over there before power is restored, I can't get back in the building. My stairwell key is in the lab, and they put a card reader on the main stairwell (which is now dead). Maybe the breezeway door will still be open since the power went out before it was supposed to lock (but the default should be to lock down the hatches).
