Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

How to crash an UAV

This is the first preliminary report of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Predator drone) that crashed around the Arizona-Mexico border.

There's one big thing that bothers me. There is no requirement to give Predators a registeration number. It's an aircraft, right?

It's funny that there's the line about injuries - "1 Uninjured". I guess they're counting the plane in the casualty report.

long distance

I swore I would never be in a long distance relationship. I saw how it didn't work with my best friend (ironically the same friend that set me up with boyfriend).

Maybe she forgot about her long distance realtionship failure.

We always have a good time together. We were so busy I never brought the laptop out to check emails (only had 91 waiting for me).

Watched the Suns lose in the playoff game when I showed up there Friday night. After that, it was Todai's for seafood buffet.

Saturday he still had to get up at 4:30 AM for work. Surprisingly enough, we both woke up a few minutes before the alarm went off. I went back to bed, and he got up for work.

With the help of his dad, I picked up some supplies to paint the inside of the "toy truck" since we all agree the green on the inside is disgusting. So that's what I did the rest of Saturday until he got off work. That evening, I made gluten-free bread for a clam bake Sunday.

Sunday we went to see "X-Men 3". After that, it was a stop at Home Depot (again) to get more painting supplies, and he bought a nail gun. Came back, and realized that his dad wanted the clam bake to get started around 3:30. So we unloaded the supplies, and worked on the clam bake.

Clam bake was good. Didn't get mussels because they looked crappy. My gluten-free bread was perfect for soaking up the juice. There were also shrimp skewers, steak, watermelon/feta cheese salad, and the corn on the cob I had brought.

After an early dinner, we played cards and talked.

Monday he got the day off work. So we slept in together. Then together we finished off the leftover paint for the toy truck. Then decided not to go for more, so we left it as it was and cleaned up.

Tuesday, it was another 4:30 AM wakeup for him; and I slept in until 6:30. Then slowly got my stuff together and headed back for Tucson.

It was another wonderful weekend with the time just flying by. All too soon, we have to go our separate ways. It gets harder for me every time.

Of course, voluntarily leaving a climate that is 25 degrees cooler than the one you're going to isn't any easier.

I'll sit here and ponder the fesibility of this relationship some other time. I have to decide if I should go to a TN conference to participate in a motor cortex stimulator panel.
