Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Wow!!

Some vendor came by at around 12:30 this afternoon.

"We're having a vendor show at 1:30. We're having ice cream treats. Come by if you can, and tell your lab."

I usually drag myself to these shows. Most of the food offerings I can't have. But I touch base with my regular vendors, and see what's new and good.

Since I made a lot of headway into my data plotting, I dragged myself to this show.

"Fill out registeration form for raffle prizes," the box says.

I make a silent groan. I never win anything, then I get harrassed by vendors for months on end. I hate filling these things out.

Run into a long time no see vendor. I asked him what happened to someone's company that was on the list since I needed to talk with her.

"She couldn't make it. Fill out a vendor form, and I'll put a note on it to have her contact you."

*sigh*

So I surrender my work info, and turn in the form.

Show wraps up at 3:00. I get a call at 2:50. "You won the Starbucks card."

So I go and collect my booty. Granted it was the 3rd runner-up prize. But at least surrendering my work info gave me something back in return.

If only I ever went to a Starbucks....
