Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

FH stories

So I made it up to Fountain Hills. I-10 slowed to a stop just as the exit ramp for Queen Creek Road. So I did eventually make it to the Loop 101. Much to my dismay, there was so much traffic that I got down to 10-20 mph on that stretch of the freeway. Then the usual stop and crawl to get on the Loop 202. Once you finally get to the 202, it's a nice drive.

My sister has a birthday tomorrow. So tonight we babysat my nephew so she could have dinner at a nice steakhouse (oddly enough, we grilled up steaks of our own tonight).

So in one of our infamous discussions, my Dad was compaining about how even when you're dead, you have to pay lots of money. So even when you're dead, you're still paying. He said that he's in trust of a friend to take care of his funeral. But he's only going to pay for one pile of firewood. My Dad said he'd pay for four.

I commented "you know they have Potter's graves that the taxpayers pay for. So your friend just has to lose his identification documents, tell his relatives to not claim the body, and he'll be buried in a Potter's field."

My Dad said "I'll have to tell him about that."
