Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

cat update

I haven't gven a cat update recently. It's been about three weeks since their traumatic upheaval of everything they've taken for granted and dumped into a house with a dog, two strange people, and lots of activities.

They still spend most of the time in my room and sleep. When my toddler nephew is here, they run for the hills under the king bed in his room. My bed is lifted for storage, and nephew can crawl under the bed.

In the evening, they come out. They'll let themselves been seen and that's about it. Magnum makes brave visits, but doesn't like to be petted. Thankfully, his front declaw prevents anyone being harmed.

Adira comes out more in the morning. After she wakes me up, she plays with her toys and bats them out in the hall while I'm in the shower. She used to run for the hills whenever anyone saw her, but now she will sit still for about thirty seconds before running for the hills.

Tomorrow, the cable guy has to come in my room to fix the wiring. They'll really like that.
