B5 goodness

I was a huge fan of the Babylon 5 series on TV all those years ago. Mostly because for the five seasons it aired, all but two episodes were written by the same guy - the creater of the series.

The storylines and depth of the characters are brilliantly done. And it's one of these series where if you start watching in the fifth season, you miss a lot of the back story. And Walter Koening was one of the best special guest spots ever.

So I'm thrilled the series creator is returning to the original stories. It has been rumored for a long time, and it is finally getting started. I'll have to look for them on release next year.

In the meanwhile, I'll have to start saving up to buy the seasons on DVD.

what now?

I finally got my COBRA letter yesterday. But I had questions and they were supposed to "look into it and call me back" and have yet to do so.

But I got a call from the Mayo Clinic about last weeks visit. Although I don't qualify for their study, I was already bled and peed for them. So they agreed they'd send me copies of the lab results for my records. They thought that the samples indicated a UTI. So even if I was still in, this UTI would delay me.

I must be a total dolt. I don't have pain, but it sure explains the 101 fever I had when I had my tubes taken out. Perhaps that explains a lot as to why I feel so run down from a simple cold. It doesn't explain why I haven't been able to get over this gunkiness though.

What can I do about it? Not much. I don't have insurance, and it'll probably take a while to get it back online (especially if they don't bother to call me back). I don't have any antibiotics handy, just lots of water. If I can get out and going I'll pick up some cranberry juice.
