Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

home sick

Figured out that my dad managed to FUBAR the cable. Replacing it cleared up the picture, so I'll have to get around to eventually replacing it. At least I can watch movies in peace.

My dad bought another truck for my nephew. My dad needs help.

Kitties are still scared to death of nephew. They made an appearance while dad and nephew at the store, but made a hasty retreat under the bed when he returned.

date?

The other bad thing about not feeling good today is that I had made plans for a date tonight with the "Mr. Right Here".

Nothing special - just dinner at a steakhouse followed by a night at the improv.

Suppose I should send him a text message (we do a lot of that) to see we should pass on tonight. I can't carry on much of a conversation. Shouldn't give him a good night kiss for sure.

bad to worse

After a week and half of feeling crummy, bad sleep, and allergies from heck, it's finally here.

I'm really sick.

Yesterday late afternoon, I started another sore throat. No amount of water was helping it. By dinner, I could barely speak. After dinner, I dug out my throat drops. No help. After a late night up working on a cross stitch, I dug out my Chloraseptic. Again, no help.

Now I know I'm in trouble. No amount of throat drops, cough drops, or Chloraseptic help. I never had trouble with my tonsils before. So I'm hoping it'll pass if the nasal congestion can improve.

Boyfriend hopes I don't have to have them out. I don't feel like I have a fever, so I'm hoping it'll get better in a couple days.

The good news is that everything was sorted and put away yesterday before I started to feel sick. The bad news is that I don't have cable in my room, and my VCR is putting out all kinds of static, so even watching a DVD will suck.
