Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

nothing's going quite right

Today, I wish I could have just stayed in bed - it would have been much more pleasant.

But no, I drag myself out of bed at 5:45 AM. Darn cats.

When I get out of the shower, I see that yesterday's DH lesions had multiplied during the night. Great, break out the steroid cream. After I cap it, something red catches my eye. Yup, it's a lesion on my upper right arm. So much for being confined to the legs. But I'm wearing a shirt with sleeves long enough to keep it covered up. Re-open the steroid cream, apply, and put away (again).

Then I get three specimens to process today for experiments. That's great - an ideal experiment. Except the separation media isn't working right. I had to respin the first two specimens on a second column, which thankfully did the trick. But the third specimen didn't come in until 1:30. So I ran the first separation the same time I was doing a second column and crossed my fingers that the third specimen would come out clean.

Well, you can imagine what happened. I'm waiting for the second column to finish in the centrifuge. In the meanwhile, I can't setup the other two specimens because it needs to get all done at the same time. To run a second column takes an extra hour. I'm going to be here forever tonight.

*sigh*
