Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Amber alert

Okay, I thought the purpose of Amber Alerts was to provide prompt notification of a missing child.

Well, I do watch "24" on local FOX and I usually watch "Nightly News" on NBC. Today's show was interrupted by an Amber Alert.

A teenage girl in Wilcox was reported missing. She had reportedly received death threats.

She was last seen at 6:30 AM on her way to school.

Yup, that's 11 hours.

In less than an hour, she can be taken into Mexico.

If the death threats are true, she could be dead and dumped in the middle of desert hours before the Amber Alert was issued.

Maybe they're working on their New Year resolution to get the word out in a timely manner.

Love is in the air

I walked almost 6 miles in my trip last night to Sabino Canyon. Will have to pass today, my feet and ankles are killing me today!

Slightly bummed that this Valentine's Day won't be anything special, even though I have a boyfriend. Boyfriend will still be three time zones away for another month.

So Mother Nature decided to rub it in a bit. Every male cardinal I saw last night had a lady cardinal next to him.

*grrr*

I suppose I should just get some coffee to cheer me up a bit.
