Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Honestly, it just appeared in my way

Okay maybe not. But I'll blame it on being really tired.

Yesterday, I was in the tissue lab, and had to grab a bottle of media in the room next door. When I was walking back into the tissue room, I walked into a giant BL-2 hood. Most of my body was able to avoid the large metal item, but my shoulder took a big hit.

It was sore for a few hours afterwards, and then I forgot about it. Since it was my left shoulder, my backpack strap doesn't sit there, and I went on with my life.

This morning when I was using the soapy poofie thing, my left shoulder was sore when I was soaping the shoulder. I looked and saw the red, black, and blue colors there. I then remembered why it was there.

Phoenix tripping

I'll be a good girl and visit my folks this weekend. I have the opals that we need to pick the favorite of, and arrange to get it made into a ring for my grandmother. Plus, my sister's birthday is Sunday. So I get to be babysitter to my nephew Saturday night when my sister will go out for dinner with her husband. Hope he is on her best behavior.

I don't like going up to Phoenix these days. Ever since Thanksgiving, it takes longer to get there because traffic backs up on I-10 on the way IN to Phoenix. In the perfect world, I only get a couple miles into Chandler to the Loop 202. But traffic backs up three miles to stop and crawl. So I have another route I can take. None of those helped me Thanksgiving when traffic was backed up 22 miles!

I know when the snowbirds go away, it'll go back to being a bit better. Don't think Phoenix is going to be widening I-10 anytime soon because they just finished a widening project not too long ago.

I'm still a bit tired, but feel like I slept a bit better. I woke up a few more times than normal because my legs were flexing enough to wake me up. I'll start taking the medication tonight (if I remember to take it with me).

Thank goodness it's Friday.
