Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

thank the ancestors of about 30,000 years ago

Ever becoming more of a slave to fashion, I am putting up with more and more crap to look a bit better. Today it's my low heeled black boots with side zippers. I admit that these could fit better, but they look good, so I can put up wearing them once a week before my toes give in to pain.

So I suppose it's fitting that I found this article that found an ancestor that has a different shaped foot to be more suited to shoes.

I don't want to get into the whole intelligent design/evolution argument. Although, I am a big believer that the evolutionary evidence is out there. This report helps confirm that to me.

promises don't run the A/C

I know that people in Iraq are lucky if they have four hours of electricity a day, it's somewhat disappointing to find out that things are still not better. To try and help with the power shortages, the provisional government is pledging more money to try and help the issues.

Unfortunately, that should have been promised before the summer hit. The extra resources will not help those who are forced to sleep on their roofs because their air conditioning units cannot work.
