Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Follow-up appointment

Okay, so this morning was my four week follow up in regards to my slightly abnormal pap smear. My NP (whom I love) said "I know you enough that if I could, I would just retest in six months. But policy is further testing."

So I'm scheduled for a colopscopy (if I'm spelling it right). I almost cried when she said I have to have it done. I had one done when I was 15, and it was a traumatic experience (nothing quite prepares you for seeing your own blood on the wall). She was aghast that they even did that on a 15 year old who wasn't sexually active. She said if I was 15 today, it wouldn't have been done.

She assured me that it wouldn't be as bad this time around. I told her I'd agree to do it and that it was probably a bad experience that I should lay to rest. I wish she could do it, but I have to go see the technicians attached to their clinic.

The best news that I got out of the appointment was that my weight was unchanged from four weeks ago. And I was wearing boots today!!! Plus, she gave me a script for something to take before my appointment that will relax me a bit.

Wonder if this means I should take the rest of the day off work? I probably won't be able to get away with it, but we'll see what happens.

Reality TV confession

I will come out of the closet and admit it - I'm a fan of "Project Runway". Can be seen on Bravo TV network.

I really don't know why. I'm not big into fashion, and I'm not very creative with clothing. But there's something about it that doesn't seem false or showy. Who are my favorites to make the final three - I like Chloe, Kara, and Daniel. Santino definately has the most personality, but his stuff is "looks cool, not practical". Hopefully Kara will win her first challenge this week, I really like her garden dress that was last week's show.
