Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

knocked up to a widow in a year

I cannot complain about my life for a long while.

My cousin in Chicago that had the "shotgun" wedding after getting pregnant. He seemed like a very upstanding fellow by wanting to marry her. She emailed me some pictures, and he looked so much like the proud pappa.

Last night she became a widow. At 29. With a three month old girl. And a townhouse they had just moved into.

He had just been in a work related accident, but the cause of death has yet to be determined. He had just been released from the hospital, and was expected to undergo surgery to begin to repair the damage from the injury.

I cannot even begin to imagine her situtation. What does one do to show support when you're 1500 miles away? A card seems a pathetic substitute. I am not able to offer babysitting or cooking meals.

Please keep her in your prayers. Her name is Shari, and pray for her to have the strength to get through this.
