Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

success!!

My phone rang around 9:30 with the distinctive ring I assigned for boyfriend.

"I woke up, was about to ask you if you wanted coffee, and you were gone."

"I tried to let you sleep in a bit. Guess I was successful."

"Thanks baby, it did feel good to sleep in."

I like when I am able to do something small that is so helpful.

cats and boyfriend

Cats seem to always be a good judge of guys. If the cat didn't like a boyfriend, our relationship wouldn't last for much longer (for other reasons). If the cat liked him, we were together for a while.

Magnum's been around to act as "man judge" for a few hopefuls. But he generally likes anyone that will pet him. He's such an attention slut.

Adira's a very shy kitty. A couple hopefuls never saw her because she'd be under the bed until he'd leave.

Boyfriend is around lots of cats. He lives next door to his dad. His dad has three semi-indoor cats, and about nine ferals that he feeds so they'll stick around and keep the rats under control. I've seen boyfriend play and pet these cats.

First visit, Adira was a ghost. If she thought he was able to see her *poof* Second visit, she finally came around, but wouldn't let him touch her.

Since it's been about three months since boyfriend was here last, I wasn't sure if Adira would remember him. She initially bolted, but with the coaxing of treats, she left the safety of the bedroom. After that, she kinda hung around, but ready to bolt if approached.

An after-dinner game of laser pointer tag warmed her up to him. She could play that for hours!

Then we went to a movie, and when we came back, she didn't run away.

But when we finally collapsed in bed, she didn't join us. Normally, the bed is her spot to get one-on-one attention and love, but decided to try and get some from Magnum instead. We head a loud ruckus of a fight from that. So Magnum took advantage, and came and joined us sometime in the night.

This morning, both were in the living room. So I let boyfriend sleep in, and dragged myself to work *sigh*

Crappy day

Yesterday was about as bad a day I had in a long time.

Yes, the toe is broken. It took me about two hours in urgent care to get the x-rays and get it taken care of. But the people I dealt with there were very cool. The best thing they did was give me a stiff shoe to prevent flexing of the toes, and that helps a lot. Today it feels a lot better.

After that, it was time for the biopsy. They ended up taking two sections. They were very cool, and overall it wasn't too bad except for the excess bleeding. I had anticipated this, so it could have been a lot worse. The after effects pain wasn't too bad since I had been given lots of ibuprofen at the urgent care, and was still in my system.

So after all that, I had a couple errands to run. Then I finished cleaning, ironing, etc. Just in time, boyfriend drove up about fifteen minutes later!

Today is looking to be much better.
