Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

catnip crazies

Magnum's been having a craving for catnip the last week. He's been rifling through my bakers rack on the shelf where I normally keep the nip, looking for it.

Tonight, a loose leaf ended up by the placemat where his food was. At first I couldn't figure out what the heck he was doing. A few minutes later, he starts tearing up the carpet running the lap around the apartment.

He did about five or six laps. The he crashed in a position that was similar to as if the legs just gave out and he ran out of gas. Now he's snoring in a bit more dignified position - on his back showing off the fat striped belly of his.

I might have to get a disposable camera until mine comes back from Hawaii. Yes, only a loser has her camera make the trip to Hawaii, but the rest of her stays behind.

two months - no biggie

As my Mom said, the first week was the hardest.

Boyfriend called me this afternoon when he shuttling between job and office. It was a nice surprise, and good timing because 30 seconds later and I would have missed his call. Guess I'll have to figure out a way to bring my phone into the tissue lab so I don't miss a call.

We traded conversation back and forth via email. I have to remind him how to do web messenger. But it's a bit of a return to the normal routine that we had been doing when we weren't together.

We will not be together for Valentine's Day this year, but I would like to provide something thoughtful even though there's three hours of time between us. I'm not very good at the long distance relationships - my last one we communicated through letters only!
