Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

that'll leave a mark

Sure enough, last night totally sucked.

I tried sleeping on my right side, but it hurt my shoulder. Back sleeping was even worse. After a few hours, my left hip would complain.

And I can't do much reaching with my right arm - too painful. If I keep it fairly still, it doesn't hurt. So I'm holding onto my pain meds, but don't see much benefit in taking it. It's not constantly painful - just when I stretch it too much.

The dermatologist warned me that once the stitches come out, and I move the shoulder, the scar will spread a bit.

Boyfriend offered to take my stitches out for me on Monday, since Monday will be one week and I'll still be in San Diego (and the office will be closed anyway). I said we'll wait and see. I don't have good experiences with stitch removal.

Oh please

If I could say anything to Mexico, it'd be "quit your whining!"

Mexico is calling for a criminal investigation after Border Patrol shot a crosser.

Oh, and the crosser was throwing rocks at Border Patrol, hitting one agent in the face.

So we aren't shooting people trying to cross, only if they start a fight. And the Border Patrol has no way of knowing if they're dealing with a drug smuggler or a coyote that could be armed to the teeth. Border Patrol agents have been killed by such people, and as far as I know, few are caught and prosecuted.

Quit your whining Mexico, and if you're going to let thousands of people break our laws, you should warn them not to bring stones to a gun fight. Then we can complain that you're encourging them to shoot at those enforcing OUR laws.
