Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

stories from the human barometer

I know I've mentioned that I can sometimes tell if a storm is on its way.

Yesterday we had all the wind and dark clouds looming. But I was able to go out to a spring training game with no problems. And the weather idiots said that "it's not going to rain Saturday, but now Sunday."

So I tried to sleep in today, but couldn't. Tried lots of coffee, but ended up taking a late morning nap. When I woke up, it was finally raining, and my head felt strange.

Not painful, but almost like it was numb. I felt drugged in the head, but I hadn't taken anything.

The last bit of rain is on its way out of Dodge, and I am having face zappers on the right side. The "good" thing about these kinds of problems is that the pain is intense, but very short lived. It should subside, especially if I settle into a comfortable position for bed, and NOT move at all.
