Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Monday issues

I hate working on Mondays.

For the last two months, something always is broken down on Monday morning.

Today, I discovered a river of water by an autoclave. Great.

Then one of the two main elevators was down. Looks like stairs it is.

Then I go to make a copy of something and the copier is cut in half. Or more disassembled to repair a major problem.

And I can't go back to sleep after I wake up about an hour before I'm supposed to. I used to be able to sit there and tell myself "you've got an hour - go back to sleep." Now I do that, and 7-10 minutes later I look back at the alarm clock.

*sigh*

Monday already?

I didn't do much this weekend except laundry and some food shopping. I didn't feel very good - I'm not sure if the congestion is backing into my sinuses, but ever sudden move of my head brought a sharp pain where my ATN pain is. So I'm not sure if it's face zappers or just sinus congestion. So I was a lump on the couch watching the fluff and furr enjoying the nice weekend weather.

Boyfriend started the long journey to bring his "toy" truck to San Diego. The one bad thing is that it doesn't have a cigarette lighter so he has to ration his cell phone use in case he really needs it. But the "deuce and half" is holding up pretty well so far. He should be in AZ Wednesday, and I'll catch up to him Thursday and from there we'll head to San Diego for Easter.

I got in to see an allergist this afternoon. I think it was the mention of hives that bumped me up in the queue. I know this might mean immunotherapy, but I'll come up with the money somehow.
