Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

happy spring!

It's spring now.

Fiance and I are starting to really hash out wedding details. Our current strategy is to get married at Saguaro Lake. I hope there's some group areas we could have a reception thing there. And hopefully they'll let us have a scenic vista spot for the real thing.

I have so much to blog about, but it's hard since I'm slammed at work I have no time for blogging ;-(

"yes" to the dress

Okay, we haven't set a date yet. Fiance and I have talked about it, and we even fell in love with an old hotel in downtown Flagstaff, and put it down as a maybe for location.

Our theme is vintage/west. We're not doing redneck west, but he'll be doing the cowboy look. Me, I've been looking at late 1800's dresses, and have some ideas. But buying a real vintage dress is probably not an option, because anything affordable looks like my grandfather's baptism gown that's about to fall apart with the slightest tug. But maybe getting something made is doable. I have pictures of things I am looking for.

Corset top - a must.

Long sleeves - probably.

Skirt - not too poofy. A small bustle might work, but I don't want to be taking out children along the way.

Neck - high collar can be done nice.

But I'm so uninspired that I'm not making appointments with dress makers yet.
