Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

stomach flu or not

Well, I went to the game Saturday anyway. Felt kinda funny since I called in sick to work. The opening manager must not have worked Friday, because he was not happy to hear from me.

Not like I did it on purpose. I'll be dragging what's left of me in tomorrow because I know the new items are showing up on the truck tomorrow morning.

So I met the corporate VP at the gate she specified. I know the company didn't pay for the tickets - we were guests of SRP. One of the SRP guys left the suite to drive the zamboni during the break between the second and third periods. Wonder how much money SRP drops on a night like that.

First of all, the "no wheat" nature of my condition got to the SRP guys. So besides beer and pretzels, there was plates of fruit, cheese, and crackers (with the crackers on a separate plate). And they had brought up some bottles of wine for me.

Wish I could have had a bottle, but I nursed one glass. I was still in "anything hitting the stomach causes pain" mode, so I had just a couple grapes.

First of all, that arena is the same as the one the Arizona Cardnials play in. It's a fricking huge place! Easy freeway access, so the drive isn't too bad. Since the arena has been operational for about six months, it's a nice place. Everything still has that "new" feel to it. The plasma screens in the suite were nice.

And got to see some awsome plays on both teams.

The Arizona curse caught up to the Coyotes. They blew a three goal lead to lose the shootout.

Didn't have much to talk about with the others in the suite. The corporate VP is a very nice person. But I don't have kids, or even a husband, so I feel I don't have a lot in common with her.

At least I got the sky box experience once in my life.
