Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

back to reality

It's always fun to hang out with our matchmakers. The girls sit and watch movies on their big screen TV and make sure the baby doesn't eat the potted plant dirt. The boys work their tails off doing manual labor.

Then we party in the evening.

We had a lot of fun last night. Deep fried a turkey, and proceeded to stuff ourselves. Watched the Bears committ sacrilage by allowing Green Bay to walk all over them in Soldier Field. Started a fire in the outdoor pit. Brought out iPods with speakers, listened to music, lit some fireworks, and drank ourselves silly.

First of all, the fireworks were fun. Until the bottle rocket loudly went over their fence and hit the neighbor's house. He was more drunk than we were, so we didn't get busted. And the house didn't catch fire.

Second, I was lucky not to be seriously hung over this morning. After draining a bottle and half of wine, I drank a few bottles of beer. Then about 1/3 bottle of champagne when midnight finally arrived. My best friend was far worse off than I was.

But it's all over now. Boyfriend drove me back to Fountain Hills. After eating an awsome Reuben sandwich my folks made for lunch, he hit the road. Must have buried the needle a bit, but made it back to San Diego six hours later.

Need to get an official transcript tomorrow for the MLT paperwork. Then will start working retail to make money until I can get hired somewhere.
