Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

white Christmas

For those of you mid-west weenies that say us AZ people can't hack the cold weather, this is for you.

Boyfriend and I had planned on driving to Prescott Valley today. The baby my matchmakers produced will be one year old tomorrow. And she's planned a big party for him.

So after I got the envelopes made for my gift cards, we packed up the truck and were just about ready to head out. Boyfriend's phone rang. She was announcing that it was snowing at their house.

Great.

We drove to Target, and on our way out it started to lighly rain. So that's why it was snowing up there...

Which meant that people drive like clueless dolts going 15 mph under the speed limit. Boyfriend got a bit annoyed until the traffic thinned out.

By the time we got there, we could see patches of snow here and there. Barely enough to make a couple snowballs. After arranging the exchange for the defective present we bought at the Ace Hardware, it was snowing, but not sticking. The temperature at the bank said 32 degrees.

And that's what it's been like ever since we got here. It's snowing, but not really sticking. If the clouds move out tonight, it'll be very cold.

But we'll be fine.
