okay, "ouch!"
The Marcane is wearing off.
My right shoulder now hurts to have any pressure on it. I'm just going to put up and shut up, and save the pain meds for tomorrow. Just very thankful that my latest default sleeping position is on my left shoulder. I usually migrate to the back sometime in the night, but the wad of gauze and pain will probably put an end to that tonight.
Since I'm supposed to keep it bandaged until Wednesday, I can't count the stitches until then. But I felt three go in, and that was about half the time she spent stitching up. I'm guessing five, maybe six.
I forgot that she used the word melanoma to characterize my mole. But it's in Stage 2 (of 3), so she's confident that she'll get clean margins.
