Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Calm after storm

Finally getting a bit more settled. Most of the boxes are unpacked (I see only one still taped up), and now I have to figure out the best way to organize everything.

It has been a crazy few days.

Sunday I made a round trip with the pickup. Magnum supposedly hissed at everyone while I was gone.

Monday, mom dropped me off at the surgery center to get my tubes out. Then they were going to haul stuff to the trash, and load up everything else including the dreaded mattress. I almost got scrubbed because I had a 101 fever. Talked to the doctors, and they agreed to take me anyway since my lungs were still clear and no swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Just before going back, the doctors said it was going to be under general. Say what? No biggie, five minutes after waking up again, I was ready to walk out. I helped folks move the last bit of stuff, including the dreaded mattress.

Tuesday, I had a hard time waking up. Must have been from the long day on Monday. My last trip to Tucson dropped off the keys from work (supposedly still have another 18 keys somewhere, but good luck finding them), turn in parking permit, and turn in apartment keys. Missed dinner with best friend because she has sick husband. For the best since my fever was spiking again, and I just wanted to burrow under blankets.

Suns blew a 19 point lead to the Lakers to lose their first game of the season. Going to be watching more Suns games with my grandmother nearby.

Today I still feel crappy and feverish. But that's okay because I can do job searchings and applying with the laptop from the comforts of bed.

Adira has been making short trips from the safety of the bedroom. So I setup "her" pillow on my bed. But both critters are content to still sleep all day under the bed for now.
