Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Don't forget

I was surprised that the arrest of the POSSIBLE Baseline Killer is making national news. We're still waiting for confirmation since he was arrested for one attack linked to the Baseline Killer, but the name "Baseline Killer" hasn't been used. The press conference in about 45 minutes should be interesting.

But 10 years ago, at a Tucson resort, the parking lot was rocked by a massive car bomb. I remember when it happened since I was here as a student. The unfortunate person inside, Gary Triano, did not survive. A year after the bombing, the police still had no arrest in the case. The case went cold. I was perplexed since the materials to make the car go "boom" should be traceable, even if it was traced to a chemistry lab that was robbed.

Was this a mob hit? How could someone get away with this? Would we see more of these bombings?

Ten years went by, and no other bombings. So this was specific for wacking Triano. Who would want him dead?

Apparently, his wife. So this was a dramatic way to get his $2,000,000 life insurance money. Granted, she apparently didn't put the bombs in his car. But she apparently asked someone to do it for her.

There's a "fark" lesson to be learned here. Don't hire an ex-lover to blow up your spouse - it makes it easier to trace back to you. Not that hiring a stranger worked for Dr. Schwartz when he wanted to get his business partner out of the way. Just don't hire someone to do your dirty work I guess is the moral of the story here. Probably should be "don't dramatically wack someone you want dead".
