Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

*twitch*

I almost forgot - reading someone's thoughts on MSM selling bad news made me think of it.

During last night's episode of "Desperate Housewives", I saw a commercial for a "TV movie of the week" called "Bird Flu in America". Basically your worst case scenario if bird flu became person to person transmitted and the breakdown of society as we know it.

We've survived a major pandemic before, and we will again. Wether or not I live to see it remains to be seen.

I hate the major news networks fanning the paranoia of worst case scenarios. Sure, it'll get some people to watch. But then if the pandemic comes, it won't change the way we behave. So why increase the paranoia of some people by showing such garbage?

Perhaps this is why I only watch "24" on a regular basis and otherwise stay away from network TV....
