Sad, sad day
Currently, you can find gas for under $3/gallon in Tucson. But I did the math last night, and it's now running about the same to pay the full bus fare every day.
Which means that once I get the employee pass, it'll be cheaper to take the bus to work. I'll still wait until next week because they'll prorate the pass fare May 1.
It'll take longer for me to get to work on bus, but the lower stress level will be worth it. Besides, it'll be nice to listen to music or podcasts the entire time, or talk to friends or family, etc. People are driving even slower now to save gas - in the fricking left lane!
So I'm going to start taking the bus three or four days a week. I guess I'm doing my part by conserving gas in that way.
