Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

more experimenting with wine

Okay, it was bound to happen. You find some great stuff at cheap prices, sooner or later you'll find something that doesn't sit well with you.

I was at Target Friday night. It was probably an omen, but I figured I'd give them a chance. I wanted a white to drink for the weekend. I grabbed a Fetzer Pinot Grigio. I was not sure what would be good, and I've had good luck with random pinot grigios in the past.

I really wanted to try the Bella Serra, but couldn't bring myself to pay the $25 price tag.

So I settled for a $8 Fetzer.

If it was July, I would have attributed a lot of this to being left in the summer heat. It's just terrible. I can't finish this bottle, so that's saying a lot.

I learned that I'll make the extra trip to Trader Joe's from Target. No offense to Target - they're good at a lot of things, but I wouldn't buy wine from there again. There's a Trader Joe's down the road from Target, and it's not really going out of my way to go there, so it'll be worth the second stop.

Guess I better get the kitties inside before Magnum beats up another interloper.
