Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Professionals only

If only I knew where to look for one (not here).

Right now my lab duties are either all or nothing. Okay, by nothing I mean nothing that requires use of the tissue lab - but there's paperwork to catch up on, more data to compile, read articles, etc. The biggest problem is that when I'm trying to keep track of several different tasks at once, I sometimes fail miserably.

Today, I had two samples from the clinic to process. I also had a two day harvest from Monday's sample to do as well. (I also had a few mice to tend to, but they can wait until tomorrow). To minimize the "hurry up and wait" time, I juggle the two different tasks.

Today, that was too much for my brain to handle. My notebook for the samples I got today are so chicken scratched with writings, scratched out, re-entered data, more scratching out, and re-re-entered data. It was so bad I didn't trust myself so I stayed an extra half hour (pushing an 11 hour day at this point) to enter in what REALLY got done. I then printed out the info and taped it over my chicken scratch hell.

I used to write in pencil so I could use the magic device called an eraser. But I write so light that the pencil writings could literally rub away and be unreadable. So I eventually had to go back and redo the writing in pen. So I just decided to save a step tehre and write in pen.

I remember there being eraseable ink when I was in junior high or high school. Whatever happened to them?
