Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Heating oil woes....not!

Boy, ever am I glad that I live in Arizona. My heater is electric, so I don't have to worry about this. Right now, it's cool enough that I can open the back door for the kitties sake, and can leave the thermostat off throughout the day.

The only problem with this arrangement is that Adira likes to walk along the porch railing. She tends to make a lot of noise in this process of getting on the railing. I ran out to the patio at 5:00 AM when I heard a loud commotion followed by a quiet meowing. I figured Adira fell off the wrong side of the patio. Never figured out the source of the meowing, but Adria was giving me a "what??" look on the patio.

I grew up just outside Chicago. I don't remember using heating oil then, as far as I remember, it was natural gas that fueled our stove and heater. It'll be interesting to see if anaylsts are right and people run further into debt to heat their homes. Perhaps they won't also spend the money on holiday plane tickets....so there'll be a rush to fill the seats (even cheaply).

Hey, I can hope. I can also hope that I'll win the Powerball tonight.
