Life of a former witch

I've outgrown my wicked witch of the west ways. Reflections of life afterwards, living in the desert with two cats, friends, family, and my hot and cold love life.

Errands suck!

I know I'm a bit behind on supplies at home. I hate going to stores on the weekends because they're crowded. If I go after work, the wait is usually not too bad, but rush hour traffic sucks.

So I bit the bullet, made a list this AM, and set out after work to try and be productive as possible. I first stopped at a Target by my place. Was happy that I was able to get some of the cardstock I needed to get (without having a make a trip to a craft store. Was very disappointed that I could not find a fountain water bowl. I guess I'll try and go somewhere else tomorrow AM and pick one up.

Although I am very happy with the selection of gluten-free products of Wild Oats, I would have had to stop at Target with frozen and fridge foods in my car. Or go back the way I had already been. So I chose Trader Joe's since it was close to Target, and on my way home anyway. I scored with organic soups and stock broths that were gluten-free, cheap wine, and veggie chips. I'm going to try the tomato soup tonight with some jasmine rice - simple but effective.

I'm still impressed how quickly the monsoon clouds can build. I was in Target for 30 minutes - and saw the looming clouds over the Catalina mountains. Three minutes later, I was at Trader Joe's, and remained for 20 minutes. When I left Trader Joe's, I saw the clouds were even darker. Ten minutes later, I was home, thanful that I'd be home to watch the storms. Hopefully it will come.
